PLM Upgrade

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to upgrade our PLM using CiscoPrimeLM_64bitLnx_10.5.1.11901-1.sgn IOS.

I tried via TFTP and Share Virtual vSphere but everytime I had a machine reset to the starting point with no license installed.

 What would be the procedure to deploy the above ISO properly without losing the actual PLM?

Hi MK,

I was reading PLM user guide which says that system reboot is required after upgrade process is completed.you can also refer the link for upgrade process.

My problem is after rebooting, the machine reset to the starting point with no license installed. It behaves like a new install and not an upgrade.

Hi MK,

Do u see upgraded version when u run show version active  and inactive version when u run show version inactive ?

Lastly, is the Product Instance also missing in new version?

If u have license files, u can create new product instance  and upload the lic files else suggest opening TAC cas.
