PRI Calling Name without MGCP

I have an H.323 gateway with a PRI that is recieving calling name from the PSTN. I know that this is supported with MGCP, but I was looking to keep this feature with an H323 or SIP gateway.

Can this be done?

Yes, that should work, worst case you need an IOS update.

What should work? Sip or H323? I have it configured now as a SIP gateway using a SIP trunk to my callmanager. When I call into my IP Phone I see the the remote-party-id=pending in the SIP INVITE followed by a SIP INFO message containing the correct remote-party-id (As shown in the following link, http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/voice/sip/configuration/guide/sip_cg-isdn_ps6441_TSD_Products_Configuration_Guide_Chapter.html#wp1062842).

It seems that callmanager does not wait for the SIP INFO message.

SIP is not a common configuration for GW trunking to CM. You could try H.323 instead.
