PRI failover for incoming calls

Hello,

I have 2 MGCP gateways connected to CUCM cluster. Each gateway has 4 PRIs from 2 different service providers. Our Primary PRI (number starting with 3918XXXX)is failing very frequently. Most of the users in the office have announced DID number to the customers associated with Primary PRI line. That is causing problem because when PRI is down, customers are not able to reach our office through the main number. The backup PRI(number starting with 4688XXXX) works absolutely fine for outgoing calls when Primary PRI fails but customer only knows about Primary number and when they call in, they hear the IVR - This number is temporarily out of service. Is there any way to route the calls from Primary PRI to backup PRI in case of failure?

Hello Santosh,
For the incoming calls there is no way to route from Primary PRI to Backup PRI as provider delivers the call based on called number which lands into your Primary PRI.

Could you please check and confirm if failed calls are hitting to your gateway at all ?

The calls are not hitting the gateway. I thought there must be a solution from service provider end where they can route the calls to other service provider in case PRIs fail. Anyway, thank you for the help. Cheers!
