Publisher and Subscriber

Hello Everyone,

We have a CUCM cluster composed of one publisher and 8 subscribers. Each site has it's own subscriber and VLAN. The topology is Clustering Over WAN with CUCM 10.5.

We need to move our publisher to a different data center (DC2) which is in a different VLAN (3001).

My question is:

What happens if we move the Pub to DC2 and change the IP address to match the one in VLAN 3001? Would changing the ip address affect the functionality of the cluster? The name of the Pub will remain the same.

Thanks,

MK

Of course there will be an impact on the cluster. Isn’t that sort of an obvious or was your question rhetorical?

Recommend you to to search for change IP address in CUCM on your favorite search engine and I’m sure you’ll get ample results for information about this.

Hi,

Download and install PCD then use it to change IP address. This is the
safest approach and guaranteed to work without errors.
