Query ON CUCM6.0(1) Installation

Hi,

I have a cluster running ccm6.0(1) which I upgraded to 6.1(2). with only one server (pub)

Now I need to add a sub to it.

My question is this, Can I install the sub using ccm 6.0(1) and then after install upgrade it to 6.1(2)

Will this work or do I have to get a media for ccm 6.1(2) for this to work.

AT the moment its only the 6.0(1) media I have.

Please how can I go about installing the new sub

Hi Deji,

Hope all is well my friend :) You can use the 6.0(1) Media and then upgrade "during" (not after) the Installation of the Subscriber or second Node. Make sure that the License for the new Node has been added to the Publisher before starting.

Applying a Patch (upgrade during install)

This option allows you to upgrade the software version that is contained on the installation disc with a later release. You can only apply one patch durng the installation process.

NoteEnsure that you have the software image available on DVD or on a remote server prior to choosing this option.

Step 1 Perform all pre-installation tasks that apply to your site.

Step 2 Follow the procedure to begin installing the software on the

DVD to your server.

Step 3 Follow the procedure to apply a software patch.

Step 4 Follow the procedure for performing a basic installation.

Step 5 When the First Node Configuration window displays, choose

No to configure the new server as a subsequent node.

Step 6 Follow the procedure to configure a subsequent node in the

cluster.

Step 7 Perform all post-installation tasks that apply to your site.
