Recommended PRI's on a 3825

How many PRI's can be terminated for voice on a 3825. I have a requirement to terminate 23 E1's on 2 3825 routers.

Will the PVDM's be able to supponrt that

number. Also i need to know whether this type of setup seems practical or should we be looking for some other device to handle this

altough doable, it seems excessive. Also, are these T1 or E1 PRIs ?

Please look into the AS5xxx line for such an high port density. These machines are built especially for that.

Do they use PVDM's as well or something else for transcoding

They have their own DSP hardware doing the same functions like pvdm on the ISR routers.

The specifics, depend on the exact model you choose.
