Registration failed. Max phone count reached

Hi,

I am having a strange problem, faced for the first time and I am unable to find any documentation on solving that.

I have a brand new 2911 cme/srst router.

I start registering phones and up from the first phone I am getting the message:

"Registration failed. Max phone count reached"

I have to deliver the roter to the client by Monday!

Any help will be appreciated.

First time used configuration professional up from start and I had that problem.

CLI is the best method I guess.

@ROB - you are the man! I was having the same problem. I had configured this using CCP and it did not take apparently. I entered via the command line as you stated and whala!

(config-telephony)#max-ephones ?

Then accepted the EULA. I immediately saw my phones register. I will say I tried setting the max below the maximum number first and I never was given the EULA and nothing happened. I then set to the Max and then I saw the EULA>

have you added below command and then performed reload after saving config.if not can you give a shot.

run this in config mode:

1)license boot module c2900 technology-package uck9" CLI was added

2) license accept end user agreement" acceptance and reload have been performed.

I run the commands:

VGW(config)#license boot module c3900e technology-package uck9

% use 'write' command to make license boot config take effect on next boot

VGW(config)#exit

VGW#write

Building configuration...

[OK]

VGW#reload

Proceed with reload? [confirm]

VGW(config)#license accept end user agreement

VGW(config)#exit

VGW#write

VGW#Reload

Finally This works for me.

1. Copy your actual SRST configuration i.e Notepad for backup.

2. Delete all SRST configuration and reload the router.

3. Configure CUCME For SRST

> https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-24089

4. Test CUCME SRST by stopping CallManager Service in your server.

If this work, you can now provide SRST usign CUCME. If not work reload your router and then delete all CUCME SRST

configuration.

5. Restore your SRST backup (step 1) and test.

Remember to accept the end user agreement and EULA
