REJECT INCOMING CALLS WITH UNKNOW CALLING NUMBER.

Hi,

We would like to know if it is possible to reject incoming calls with unknow calling number. It is possible to reject incoming calls with known calling number, it is possible to reject it in the gateway, but is it possibel with an unknow calling number?

Are you using H.323 or MGCP ?

Note: it is common experience, that many calls  without a calling number are perfectly legitimate.

Hi Paolo,

I confim you that is a H323 gateway.

The incoming calls could incoming for 4 different gateways, and for these gateways are incoming calls of different offices, then we will need to make a filter of incoming unknow calling number and known called number, is that possible.

As long as it isn't coming in from an MGCP circuit, you can block the call with a call-block translation pattern which matches a null ANI.

If you are running MGCP, I can't think of a way to do it, since CUCM can't match based on an ANI.

In the US it is common to ask the service provider to do this.

An advantage of this method is that the caller that is blocked gets a message instructing them to unblock their caller ID if they want to get through.

This is normally done wiht *82 prefix before the dialed number.
