Restrict Caller ID Line from SIP

Hi

We are receiving external calls from 000000 and i want to hide 000000 and show display.

I setup a TP with pattern 000000 but i cant hide the 000000. I know that cucm is using that TP because i can block/route the call.

i can put 1234 as Calling Party Transform Mask and i will see 1234 but cant find a way to make it "unknown"

any idea?

thanks

Ok Louis so I see the 0000 number now, however I do not see the trabslation pattern analysis..To help us see this please enable the followin

  • System>Service Parameters>CUCM server>CUCM Server

DigitAnalysisComplexity: TranslationAndPatternAnalysis (apply this to only the server you are collecting logs from. If you are not sure then apply to all servers

Do another test and collects logs again

PS: how do u read the log so quickly... have you got an app for it? thanks

Louis,

Sorry for my late reply.

Looks like you have not configured the service parameter correctly.  I still dont see the translation pattern analysis.

I dont have an app to read the logs, I wish I do :) Its a combination of experience and expertise :)

I wrote a document on learning how to understand CUCM traces..please see it here..

Do you know if it's definitely hitting your TP?  Have you looked at the traces from the GW and or CUCM?

How about doing something like 000000. and discard predot and then set to restrict?  I've not tried this and i'm not sure on the outcome but worth a test?

yes it's hitting that TP.

discard predot is only on called PT

i have tried anyway but it doesnt work at all
