Hello,
One of our subsidaries need intercom connection setup in such a way that it is locally controlled
for specific times & then during other times it needs to be operated by an external company.
CuCM is being used. Please suggest how to do this.

Easiest way is to set up time of day routing from that intercom onto the cucm number that is calls when the button is pressed. so dyring certain hours it goes to company A and other hours it goes to company B. if it has an entry gate openener, that is done through DTMF so even a mobile phone can open the gate.

Thanks. During the specified hours, dtmf activates call to an extension internally. But outside of these hours, dtmf press should activate call out to an external number. Any further details will be useful. will the ToD routing be done in cucm or the intercom itself?

it depends, i know on the 2N Helios intercom you can do TOD on the device, but I typically prefer to configire it on cucm, just to keep it in one place. either methods will work

Thanks, any pointers to do so in cucm will be helpful.

I guess this all hinges on the configuration of TOD in cucm.
for instace your intercom dials 1000 when the button is pressend.
create 2 TOD schedules:
1-open
2-close
creat 2 partitions;
1-open> assign open TOD schedule
2-close>assign closed TOD schedule
create two translation paterns:
1-open, 1000, partition-open > translate to open number (whatever it is)
2-closed, 1000, partition-closed > translate to closed number (whatever it is)
works a charm
