Setting device settings from network address

Hej.

Is they a way to have the CUCM to change the devicepool and CSS on a ip phone from the IP adresse.

I have some 69xx phones that i would like to auto registre, and I want them to get the right DP and CSS accouding to they IP adresse (Network).

I have 2 CUCM 8.5 SU1 and around 20 locations.

There certainly is. Sort of :-)

Cisco Press have been nice enought to expose a chapter covering this subject here : http://www.ciscopress.com/articles/article.asp?p=1249228

There are a number of configuration steps, so it would probably be best for you to read that chapter. Essentially you create mappings of IP subnets to device pools in a round-about way, and if a device moves they inherit settings from a device pool that is linked to their new IP subnet rather than from teh device pool they are actually configured in.

Take a read, try it out and let me know how you get on!
