Setting up CP 7971 from scratch on Voipfone - PBX or not?

OK here is my interesting problem.  Trying to get the phone to run on SIP with Voipfone BUT seems to trip repeatedly regardless of what is done with SEPMAC xml.  Tried switching from sip.voipfone.net to 46.31.231.185 in case the DNS resolution isn’t working as well as try changing from number to account number in the <line1> section.  Now as I have a 4 extension PBX account do I either kill that - which I thought I had done - or set up 4 lines with individual extand user/password?  Another option is can I run it through Gigaset N300IP on CAT7 ethernet as a single extension?

All fun and games.....

Do you have CTL/ITL installed ? Delete them and try again. What does your config file look like ?

Hi there

CTL file deletion should be good for you. Here is the way for that,

Go to "Settings" press * * #  and the phone unlock's.

Go to "Security Configuration" (here you can delete via erase)

or

Go to "Trust List" - mark "CTL File" and press "erase".

Hope this helps!

Cheers
Rath!

This two error messages are important.  It's telling me the config file and the dial plan files are not found in the TFTP folder.

For a non-Cisco call server, you won't need CTL/ITL file(s).  The most important is the config file and dial plan.
