Hello everybody to be having an issue here where should lines remain in a red act asleep even though nobody is actually on the line.
I am able to clear out the red light appearance if I apply configuration on one of the phones without actually changing anything.
Any ideas of what because of this? This seems to be a chronic issue and it is spread across multiple departments are not related to each other.

Is the DN perhaps associated with remote destination profile and a call to mobile destination is still alive?

Hey Chris, there is no RDP for that line.

I would disable privacy on all of the devices to see what the caller is, and attempt to barge in. Sounds like calls do not disconnect properly.

Chris, this happens in different departments from different callers. I just got another report of it.

This seems to be a chronic issue as I am getting reports about this about once every 2 days... spread across different locations on campus with nothing related. Some lines are shared among 3 phones, some are shared among 6.
The only way to fix it is to open the DN configuration and "Apply Config" which updates all of the phones.

Hi there,
I did a long look for bugs that might be related, but came up empty
I would have a look at the shared devices next time this comes up and see if all
the phones that share the line are registered to the same CUCM sub. It almost
seems like a replication issue of some sort.
Cheers!

Rob is right.
I observed this issue when there was a replication issue.
Just few questions.
How many cucm are in you cluster?
Is a cluster over wan?
And last.. how many phones are configured in your cluster.
Let us know

There are 3 servers in the cluster.
They are clustered over a 20gbps WAN in the same geographic location.
There are 1543 phones registered to teh servers with a 50/50 split between two subscribers.
Replication quick audit:
Getting content from PUB
Comparing content in SUBs
checking: cucmsub01
--> OK
checking: cucmsub02
--> OK
No Mismatches were found

Any ideas folks? Should I force replication and reboot the cluster?
