I have a CUCM 8.6.2. I use a SIP trunk to make calls but i have a loop that i cant know how to avoid it.

172.23.132.18 is the CUCM.

172.23.129.35 internal SBC

172.23.129.48 external SBC

172.23.254.245 Alcatel OXE.

I want to know how can tell CUCM to stop when a 480 is received.

Thank you so much!

Looks like it's coming from 172.23.254.245 Alcatel OXE, so I would reach out to the provider and have them look into it.

Alcatel is just responding 480 temporalily not available, i think it is a valid answer, why cucm keeps sending invites again and again...

What is the SBC, is it Cisco CUBE?

It looks to me that the SBC is not providing proper disconnect cause thus not sending Cancel or Bye to CUCM, with CUBE you can map cause codes to SIP messages, i.e.

sip-ua

set pstn-cuase 18 sip-status 503

set pstn-cuase 19 sip-status 503

If you have another vendor's SBC then you may want to research equivalent.  Otherwise you may want to decrease Retry SIP parameters on CUCM.

It is an Oracle SBC ( acme packet ).

In SIP profile i have a retry value on 6 ( which is default).

Thank you so much!

Anyone?

Hi,

Did you find  why are you receiving 480 temporalily not available, from provider?

Thanks.
