Hi,
we are just testing to use Avaya 9608/9611 as SIP third Party device at CUCM.
After flashing the Avaya phones to SIP Firmware we was able to register the Avaya phones as Third Party device at the CUCM.
We also able to make calls from the Avaya phone to any Cisco phone.
But when a Cisco phone tries to call the Avaya phone (CSS / Partition OK) nothing happens. Avaya phone is not ringing and at the Cisco phone only silence.
Does anybody have an idea to solve this Problem that we also can make calls to the Avaya phones?
BR

Someone asked something very similar and with the same behavior, it seems that there can be two behaviors:
A) The phone will never reply to the invite
B) it will send a trying, but it seems that there's something in it that CUCM doesn't like
You would need to get a sniffer trace from the device to find out what's going on with your phone, and then take it from there, but I'm not sure someone has been able to pinpoint the issue on the Avaya and how to fix it.

Hi Jaime,
thanks for your information. So it`s for sure a problem at the Avaya phone?
Would it be helpful to post any wireshark trace here after mirroring the port of the Avaya phone?
Or who can analyze the wireshark trace?

At least the cases I knew about were on the Avaya phone, you would need someone from Avaya to look at what the phone is doing.
