Hi all,

I have a problem, on the inbound call during SRST mode with E1.

Here is the background
SRST gateway
- image: c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.154-3.M8.bin
- 1 E1 port (VWIC3-2MFT-T1/E1)
- IP phone is SCCP phone CIPS
- IP phone is SIP phone 7861

When in normal status (Connected with CUCM), all inbound and outbound calls are working great.

When in SRST mode, all outbound calls are OK, except the inbound call

- if make an inbound call by using alias 1 and DN 1094 in phone CIPS (SCCP), calls are working.
- if make an inbound call by using alias 1 and DN 1094 in phone 7861 (SIP), call not work (Cause i = 0x8081 - Unallocated/unassigned number). Нowever, local call from 1XXX to 1094 in phone 7861 (SIP) is ok.

I don't see your voice register global config for SIP SRST. For SIP SRST alias to work you would need a outgoing translation profile as well. Alias does not work the same way it does for SCCP.

Sorry, not fully copied configuration. My voice register global config below:

voice register global
 mode esrst
 system message SIP SRST Batyr
 max-dn 100
 max-pool 1

Tell me how to configure SIP SRST alias.

You need to have something like the following -

voice register pool X
alias 1 12345 to 6789
translation-profile outgoing to-sip-phone

Voice translation-rule 1
rule 1 /12345/ /6789/

Voice translation-profile alias-srst
translate called 1

In my case is missing translation-profile outgoing to-sip-phone:

r2921-bat(config-register-pool)#trans?
transfer transfer-pattern

and command alias return an error:
r2921-bat(config-register-pool)#alias 1 61400 to 2304
Failed: CME mode!

When you do a show run | s voice register global, what do you see as the mode ? You cannot have translations in ESRST. You will need mode srst for alias and translation config.

I don't have a mode srst :(

r2921-bat(config-register-global)#mode ?
 cme CME mode
 esrst ESRST mode

That's because its the default. You already have srst enabled. The other two options that you can now have are either CME or ESRST.

When the phones are in SRST mode get the following output.

show voice register poo all br
show dial-p vo su
