Hi,
I am a first-time participant to the community.
I need to swap an old 2911 voice gateway with a new 4331 voice gateway.
My config is OK, my question is what steps should I take to swap the hardware. And get the new 4331 up and running.
I have 3 connections to the existing gateway
1) RJ11 connected to wall jack
2) CD/LP (P0) RJ45 connected to phone company modem
3) GE0/1 Network connection via switch
Will the VOIP phones work if I swap the connections, or will the voip service need to be restarted?
Anything else I need to take care of to plan this properly?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Alain

Are you using CUCM with this as well, or is it a call manager express?
I would rack the 4331 and after hours plug in the ISDN to at least see if it comes up before you cut it over

One of the major differences between 4K and 2900 is the placement of PVDM module. Make sure that PVDM is placed on the E1/T1 module instead of the main board otherwise calls won't work.
1st power it up, check the booted correctly, verify IOS version and inventory (suggest to go to stable release), check your config and see if there is any feature migration needed.
