Hello,

Have you tried to "decrease" the resolution of your TV from 4K (3.840x2.160) to 1280p (1920x1280)?

Try Changing the Resolution setting on the TV and SX20.

It sounds like you're experiencing compatibility issues between your Cisco SX20 video conferencing system and your new Samsung Smart TV NU7100 series. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem:

  1. Check Cables and Connections: Ensure that all cables are securely connected between the Cisco SX20 and the Samsung Smart TV. Sometimes, loose cables can cause display issues. Double-check that you're using the correct input ports on both the SX20 and the TV.

  2. Resolution and Refresh Rate: The Cisco SX20 and your new TV might not be negotiating the correct resolution and refresh rate. Try setting the resolution of the SX20 to a standard value (e.g., 1920x1080) and a compatible refresh rate (e.g., 60Hz).

  3. Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your Cisco SX20. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause compatibility problems with newer devices. Similarly, check for any available firmware updates for your Samsung Smart TV.

  4. HDCP Compatibility: HDMI devices often use HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) to prevent unauthorized copying of content. Ensure that both your SX20 and your TV support the HDCP version required by your content. Sometimes, incompatible HDCP versions can cause display problems.

  5. Input Source Selection: On your Samsung Smart TV, make sure you've selected the correct HDMI input source that corresponds to the port your Cisco SX20 is connected to.

  6. Test with Another HDMI Cable: The HDMI cable you're using might be faulty or not fully compatible with the new TV. Try using a different HDMI cable to see if that resolves the issue.

  7. Factory Reset: If none of the above steps work, you might consider performing a factory reset on both the Cisco SX20 and the Samsung TV. Remember that a factory reset will erase any custom settings you have configured, so make sure to back up any important configurations first.

  8. Contact Support: If the issue persists, it might be helpful to contact Cisco support for assistance. They can provide specific guidance for your SX20 model and its compatibility with different TV models.

  9. TV Settings: Check the settings on your Samsung Smart TV for any display-related options that might be affecting the signal from the SX20. Some TVs have features like "Game Mode" that can impact display behavior.
