attempting to convert customer from mitel to CME. Customer has T1 e&m wink start voice circuits. All is well except for international calling. The carrier used protocol analyzer on the circuit and replied thus
What we are showing on the call attempt record is that the Called Party NLA and Dialed Number NLA is a “2” which is national. That needs to be international. Please change that on your equipment and do a re-test.
I am familiar with dial plans in ISDN but not with T1. Before I open a TAC case, has anyone heard of this and is there a way to set it?
thx

As you mentioned, there is no NLA and such things on T1 CAS. The problem is something else, also check you configuration for international calls.

As a matter of fact you can change it. It is actually the nature of address indicator and can be changed in a translation patterrn just like you can change plan type in isdn

Sure, but then in the actual protocol on the wire there is no support for sending out that information.
