Hello All

I Have an account with a company called SIPGATE and was wondering if there is anyway i can connect my CUCM server version 8 to this. The reason being is i would like a cheap way to test SIP trunks and VoIP using the internet. This is a home lab so can’t afford a lot any ideas would be most appreciated on configuring a scenario.

Thanks

Andy

Yes. It is recommended that you also use a router with the CUBE feature.

CUBE is recommended, however for lab as long as SIP authentication is not required for this integration and you are not concerned about exposing your internal network to the provider you can run it directly to CUCM.

CUCM does not support SIP trunk authentication, so you will need a device that supports it, i.e. Cisco IOS router with CUBE capabilities. Most Cisco routers can do this including 28XX, 38XX routers, 8XX routers cannot.

Hello Chris

The sip provider has a user ID and password on the account, Also can i do this just using a basic ADSL router no ALG or CUBE ?

Thanks

Hello Chris

I have a 2610XM running IOS version c2600-ipvoicek9-mz.124-15.T14 or c2600-ipvoice-mz.123-11.YZ2. Is this capable of doing what i need, if so is it simple to configure ?
