transfer using buttons on right 7931

Hi,

is it possible to use the 7931 IP Phone as a secretary or assistant IP Phone? much like a 7962+7915 extension?

iam trying to find a document to state if the buttons on the right of the 7931 can be used as speed dials, thus to transfer we can:

- pick up call

- press transfer

- press one of the buttons on the right (say button 12 which has extension of needed person to take the call)

- hand up phone to transfer

is the above possible or this is not the case here?

br,

Saeed

Hi Saeed,

First off, you are most welcome

On CUCM you could configure button 2-20 for these features. Just build a new

Phone Button template based on the standard (as the default cannot be modified).

For CME;

Cheers!

Hi Saeed,

Are you using CUCM or CME for call control?

If it's CUCM you can add a new Phone Button template for the 7931 that

will allow you to configure that right hand buttons as Speeddials or BLF

Speedials to accomodate your requirements

Cheers!

Hi Rob,

this is a new reqeust and we are pushing for CUCM, we might have to revert to CUCME if needed, but not sure yet.

Form the link i understood that the buttons 13-16 are only able to perform what is needed? is that correct? or any button can be done as such?

thanks again,

Saeed.
