Translation Pattern Help Required

Hi Team,

I am trying to create a translation pattern, and I am finding some difficulties. I am using H.323 gateway. I want the number 30300 to be translated to 0015126021000.

I have attached the gateway configuration. kinldy help.

Do you want to build Translation Pattern on CallManager or translation rule on the GW?

If the second the rule should be:

voice translation-rule 1

rule 1 /^30300/ /0015126021000/

!

voice translation-profile DID

translate called 1

If this is static replacement, if you want to copy the last 4 digits for example you would do

voice translation-rule 1

rule 1 /\(^3....\)/ /00151260\1/

This would make 30300 --> 0015126030300

So, that number are you getting and what do you want to see? Is it 08033230300 -- > 0015126021000?

If so simply do

rule 1 /^08033230300/ /0015126021000/

HI Chris,

My full number is 08033230300. The users may call that number depending on the location. If they are calling from a landline they will dial as 33230300. If they are calling from a moblie phone they will dial as 08033230300. If they are calling from the office IP phone they will dial only 30300. So how ever they cal the call should go to 0015126021000.

So, is this inbound or outbound? If inbound it does not matter what they dial, what matters is what your telco is presenting to you which is always going to be consistent. If you want to see what that is use "debug isdn q931".

If this is for outbound then you should have proper Translations and/or Route Patterns on CUCM and ensure these do not create overlaps.

Hi Chris,

Now used translation pattern in cucm and I am able to translate the number successfully. But now another problem has arised. We have two different service providers here. The call translate when using one and it doesnt happen with the other service provider. May be the issue is with the dial peer configuration. Let me check that.

Hi Chris,

Yes Chris I would require one more help. Now I went through all the h323 configuration and found that the incoming calls to one SP PRI is not happening. Unfortunately thats our primary pri. When I try to call my IP Phone using my mobile, it says all the channels are busy. A couple of hours before those calls were happening without any problem. The calls through the other SP pri is fine including the number translation.

As Salam,

from the debugs I found that there is a hairpin call at your gateway. As the outgoing was from the port 0/2/0 and again there is an incoming from 0/2/1 and the port 0/2/1 is fwd the disconnect as No Circuit/Channels available.

Here, you need to make sure that the Service Provider's B-Channel order based on the you need to configure the gateway, If the SP is sending the call on 31st channel you need to configure "isdn bchan-number-order ascending" on your serial interface else by default it will be descending. Also make sure that you have enough DSPs (PVDMs or NM-HDVs) to support the channels for transcoding.

Salam,

Yes your are correct that the hair pin calls are happening. So I had issued 'isdn bchan-number-order ascending' on serial interface 0/1/1, as it is my primary pri port. I will apply this command to rest of the serial interfaces and will let you knw. As far as d DSP's are concerened, the same scenario was working fine until yesterday where mgcp was the protocol. Yesterday i changed it to h.323. My outgoing calls r happening on the same interface but incoming r not happening on 0/1/1, 0/2/0 and 0/2/1.

At last I solved it!!!

Thanks for all the valuable suggestions.

I took the translation-profile from the dial-peers and applied on the voice-ports.

Changed incoming called-number 30... to incoming called-number .
