Hi Everyone , just started learning CUCM, managed to install CUCM 11.5, Unity and CUP in the lab. The systems are talking to each other, there is no AD integration, have created local users in CUCM. The Unity has AXL integration configured to pull users from CUCM, however when trying to import the CUCM users are not appearing in Unity.
Would like to check, is RTMT the only option to troubleshoot and check logs ? Is there other options for viewing logs or troubleshooting methods ?

Check that your end user accounts in CUCM have a Primary Extension selected. Unity Connection will not import users via AXL without that field populated.
If your end user accounts do not have anything populated in the Primary Extension drop-down, this means that they do not have a "Controlled Device" associated with their account. Associate a device, and then populate the Primary Extension field.

Is AXL running as a service on CUCM?
If you use SSL have you uploaded the CUCM cert onto CUC? and added to the CUC trust store?
