The receptionist has a 7960 with six lines in a AC Pilot Point (Circular hunt, Busy Trigger =1).
She wants to deal with Line 1 before having to answering Line 2 as a receptionist. However, the softkeys change to show Answer for Line2 and she is forced to Answer Line2 then go back to completing the Transfer for Line1 using the phone.
Good news if she uses the Attendant Console software she has no problems and can right click line1 and transfer before answering, but she wants to use the phone instead of the AC software.

you could create a new softkey template and assigne more softkeys to the ringin in option, in your case the option to transfer.

Hi Jason,
I was going to suggest trying to disable the System setting Auto-Line Select. With this Enabled the Display Focus always switches to the new incoming call.
