Hi All,
We have a situation were in the UCCX engine status on Primary server changes to Master and secondary becomes slave. Again secondary becomes Master and Primary becomes slave and we have keep updating the URL in the phone services.
Is there a way to set alert or Monitor the UCCX engine status in RTMT to overcome this?
UCCX version 8.5.1

Hi,
You need to first troubleshoot why the UCCX engine status is flapping. It could be affected by the following bug on UCCX 8.5.1
https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCtu39141/?reffering_site=dumpcr
See if you are running a fix for this bug and also disable LRO on ESXi hosts if you are on ESXi 4.1 as per the following

Hi Manish,
We are working on it to findout the reason for flaps, untill then we need to setup an Alert so that when ever the flap happens we are able to correct the service url.

Hi,
You will need to use RTMT, configure email server under System -- Tools -- Alert -- Config Email Server.
Then, go to Cisco Unified CCX Serviceability -- Tools -- Service Parameters Select the primary node and service "Cisco AMC Service". This is a cluster wide parameter so do it only on one node.
Set the Failover collector to be the second node. This will send the alerts when the primary node is down.
Also set the data collection polling rate and server syncronization period to 15.
Save the configuration and restart the Cisco AMC service on the backup node (It will prompt you to do so when you change the server syncroization period).
Now if node 1 crashes, you will receive an alert saying node 1 is down.
