Hi,
I've configured LDAP synch with customers LDAP directory which consists of user accounts and contacts. Synch process pulls user accounts but not the contacts. Hence when a user presses the directories button on a IP Phone, the phone only lists users with AD accounts and not the contacts.
Is there a way of pulling the contacts from AD and listing them under the phone directory

Hi
The LDAP synch on CUCM is for automatically creating users in CUCM from AD. It's not just for sirectory purposes.
You could use a specific XML service that looks up directly in AD.
Here's a link on a site with XML services: sitehttp://www.myvoipsource.org/tools/directory-search/

Thanks Stefan,
The details on the link provides a solution for UCM 4.x. How will this work with UCM 6.1?

Hi
You can use a custom directory like this one I wrote recently:

By default that will look up contacts as well as users.
The other option would be to configure UCM to sync in Contacts, but you would probably be best not to take this option... not sure what the TAC support situation might be.
