I'm new to IPT, so forgive any naivete - a Director has asked for a phone number that provides several menu options for callers to choose among different recorded messages, for example, Press 1 for x, Press 2 for y, Press 3 for z, etc. - what's the smart way to configure this? Same Director also wants to record a message on his own phone that gives callers the option to "Press 1" to be call-forwarded instantly to his cell phone - is this possible? Thanks! - Kathy

You will probably also need to create a Call Handler to forward calls to the cell phone. Because of Calling Search Space issues, I setup a Call Handler to send cell phone bound calls back to Call Manager to a CTI Route Point and then that sends the calls to my cell phone. If your Calling Search Spaces are less restrictive, you can just create the cell phone Call Handler and set it to transfer the call right out to the cell phone.

Hi Kathy,
Under the subscriber page, you will see an option called Caller Input, there you can link the button with the action, also; make sure that the allow caller input flag is selected under the profile settings of the subscriber.

Also, for the menu, create a handler and record the menu greeting with the options that you want, then go to caller input and set those options with the actions (for instance 1 for sales, 2 for marketing, 3 for sales rep and 0 for the operator). Normally if the user does not hit any button he will get transferred to the operator; for more information, please check the links below:
