Unity Connection 8.x Bulk User Import

Does anyone know if there is a CSV field or way to customize the following field in Unity Connection 8.x import?

Caller Input

Call Action, Transfer to Alternate Contact Number

and then enter a custom # for each user?

We are migrating 1000+ users from Avaya and they all have different 0 out numbers.

You can check the Cisco Unity Connection Bulk Edit utility which allows you to select large numbers of user accounts or call handlers and quickly make the same changes to all of them at one time

Hi Josh,

As Haitham nicely noted here (+5), Bulk Edit (with .csv) will be your

best friend here as these settings are not exposed in Bulk Import.

Generally, Dial 0 operators are set up in groups related to

departmental admins, so really the best you can do here is to use

Bulk Edit (with .csv) and change these in groups/departments. if

all 1000 users have something different...........you may be sunk.

As a test here I tried the Bulk Edit and chose;

User with Voicemail > Users referenced in this CSV file > Next

This then allowed me to browse to an existing "basic" .csv that I had

used to create a test user recently when playing with BAT. In this .csv

I had one user named Bob Uncle with DN/ext 5126. So when I used this method

the Bulk Edit tool (smart puppy ) selected only Bob Uncle for my edit choices

and I was able to change the settings I wanted

It looks like this may be your best bet, try manipulating some test users to perfect

your methodology.

I have attached the test .csv I used below

Just as an FYI...you might be interested in this, as you can do some "self-serve"

roll-out if you build the original users with a default Dial 0 in their Template;

After the user has been setup "once" with a Dial 0 (or any other key) via Caller Input they can

actually edit the numbers themselves going forward. So if you build the Dial

Zero they can control where it goes from then on

Specifying   keys that transfer to alternate contact numbers for a user, and   optionally specifying the alternate contact numbers. (When an   administrator configures a key to transfer to an alternate contact   number, the user can edit the alternate contact number for the key by   using the Connection personal settings conversation.)

Cheers!

Rob

I'm in the same boat as OP need to configure "0" option for 1000+ users planning to use Alternate Contact Number or any other way to bulk add caller input for "0", since this transfer number is different for most of the users like to see if there are any ways now in Unity connection 11.5 to do that.

Thanks in Advance.
