Hi,
Does Unity Connection server itself have the ability to do the voice to text translation?
Or In any and every scenario it depends on nuance? How we achieve connectivity with nuance (external to the org)?

While Unity Connection has the Nuance ASR engine installed locally for Speech Connect and speech-navigation of user mailboxes, Speech View relies exclusively on the Nuance SaaS offering. Voicemails are always sent to Nuance via SMTP and the transcribed text is sent back within a few minutes.
The configuration is easy on Unity Connection: set the SMTP Smart Host. The configuration on Exchange is not at all obvious though. I wrote a document to supplement the product docs; it illustrates the Exchange side of things:
