Unknown ip address for analog phone on vg224 port

Hello everybody,

I am new to IP telephony world . I am learning and i am facing a problem . One of the analog phone is configured on vg224 port just like all other analog phones but it is showing that registeration and IP address is Unknown. What is possible cause for that? what do i do to solve the problem and makes it work.

Registration	Unknown
IP Address	Unknown
Device is Active
Device is not trusted

so when I dial from my phone to the ext.on that porti get a fast busy.and when I try dialing from that phone I get the dial tone but when I try dialing an extension I get a fast busy.

in the call manager showed Unknown so what do i do now.

Login to the GW and ensure the port is configured like other ports and dial-peer for this port is configured like others.

For SCCP protocol it would be something like this:

voice-port 2/0

timeouts ringing infinity

caller-id enable

dial-peer voice 100 pots

service stcapp

port 2/0

Actually it is configured just like other ports in the GW

that's what i have on all ports in GW

Anything i need to check ?

Do you have  a dial-peer with "service stcapp" pointing to this port?

OMG thanks a lot i checked a dial-peer command and it was missing for this port .So i added it and now the phone works and the port is registered .
