Hello. I have a CME 7.1 running on a 2811, I need the newest version of the CUCME, For doing this I know I have to change the platform to a 2911, but what I wanted to know if the license I have on the CME7.1 can be transfer to the 2911 or I need to purchase all the license on the new platform???
Thanks

CME license cannot be really transferred as in fact are paper licenses only.. However the 2911 must purchased with UC license.

We Have 2901 which came with IOS 15.0/CME 7.1. When I installed a new IOS 15.2/CME 9.1 and enabled telephony-service it says the telephony-service is a trial version for 60 days and we need to purchase a license. Is there a way to upgrade the CME ?

Hi,
In upgrading the IOS you are in fact upgrading the underlying CME release. Unfortunately in your case this does not mean upgrading CME resolves your licensing issue. As Paola mentioned in the previous post you need to purchase a UC license and install it to provide the CME features you require. If the router was purchased as a voice bundle it should have the uck9 feature license installed. Once installed upgrading to another later IOS your licenses are still preserved. You can verify what features re installed by using the show license feature, or show license all.
