Does anyone know of an upgrade patch from IPCC Express 4.0(5)? We are in the process of upgrading Call Manager from 4.1(3) to 6.1. I notice IPCC 5.x and 7.x are supported but did not see a clear upgrade path in the documentation.
If anyone has any advise, please let me know.
Thanks

Until recently there was no migration path. You had to loose all of your historical reporting data. Cisco has now released a data migration tool to rescue your HR data.
UCCX HR-DataMigration Guide 4.0.5x to 7.0.1
http://www.cisco.com/web/software/282467017/23664/UCCX_HR-DataMigration_Guide_4.0.5x_to_7.0.1.pdf
You will still need to format your UCCX server to perform the upgrade as the OS has changed to Windows 2003. Additionally, your 4.0(5) version will not work at all with 6.1(x) so you will be forced to do both upgrades together.
After you read through that data migration guide, then I would recommend reading the 7.0(1) release notes, installation guide, and administration guide before starting the upgrade. The SRND is helpful but probably not required to make it through the upgrade.

**NOTE: They are transitioning away from the Win32 CDA tool. Read this document to understand the new web interface they are moving things to.
There are plenty of other docs under the UCCX site: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/sw/custcosw/ps1846/index.html

Hey Jonathan,
Very good info here and great news as well! I wasn't aware of this new upgrade path. +5 points for your top notch post here.
Cheers!

This tool only migrates your historical data....not the configuration of IPCC (applications, scripts, prompts, etc).
It is not a fun "migration" unless you have extra hardware :)

Thanks for posting this-I don't know what Cisco was thinking when they decided to not have a good migration path. This at least provides some guidance.
You might also want to review this document, which describes how the manual migration process works and how to convert scripts, etc.:

This is exactly what I have done in the past to "migrate" to UCXX 5+ (only without the nice document). Not really a migration but an import of old data. It is kind of disapointing that Cisco can't even provide a utility of some sort to upgrade to a newer version of thier own product.
Something like a button that says "Import configuration from older version of CRS". Shouldn't be too hard to do.
