CTI application does not support alaw just G711U. You will need to transcode every call to voicemail system if the ITSP just send you alaw in SDP.

Hi edwin,
With this setup, Your cme router should invoke a xcoder when calls go to cue. However your xcoder is not correctly configured.
sccp ccm group 1
associate ccm 1 priority 1
associate profile 2 register hwxcode---------------your profile here is numbered "2"
associate profile 1 register hwconf
!
dspfarm profile 1 transcode ----------------------here your profile for xcoder is "1", pls change it to "2"
codec g711ulaw
codec g711alaw
codec g729ar8
codec g729abr8
codec g729r8
codec g729br8
maximum sessions 10
associate application SCCP
shutdown----------------------------------------your dspfarm profile is shutdown, please enable it.
sccp ccm group 1
On your telephony-service you need to configure number of xcoder sessions..
telephony-service
sdspfarm transcode sessions 4 (or whatever number you want and your router can support)
Once you are done, shut and re-start sccp. on your router do "no sccp" and then after a few sec, do "sccp"
then check that your xcoder is registered by issueing the command,
"show sdspfarm units" Once your xcoder is registered do another test call and please send a debug ccsip messages.
sh sd

Hi,
First of all you cant use voice-class codec 1 to your CUE AA. Cue only supports G711ulaw. So pls change the dial-peer to AA to use G711u.
Secondly can you send debug ccsip messages (pls put in a text file and attach here)

Hi,
Are you facing silence when you call into cue? Or just a disconnect?
We are facing silence. our provider delivers g711alaw and cue only supports g711ulaw. We use cucm to connect cue. In our situation cue is not negotiating the codec correctly and is accepting alaw while sending ulaw. Even though we have xcoders, mtp's in place (cucm is invoking a mtp instead of a xcoder) This is supposed to be fixed in cue version 8.0(5) and the yet to be released 8.6(4).
Regards,
Erik
