A client of ours mentioned that a Cisco tech told them not to use a toner/probe to trace analog telephone lines that were connected to a Cisco VG224.
Is this correct and what if so what would the reason be?
Thankyou

Hi Douglas,
We've been working with VG248's and 224's for some time now
and on many occasions have used a Tone generator and Probe
to locate lines without issue. I'm not sure where the Tech came
up with this info....I just did a thorough search of Bugs/Caveats
and install/troubleshooting docs without finding any such reference.
Cheers!

Agree with Rob (rated), do not believe such a strange recommendation.
