Hello,
Does anyone have a version of the VG224 IOS. Mine has gone corroupt and I cannot download a new version from Cisco without a service contract.
This was the version that I was running.

Now all I get is the following when starting my VG224:

You will need to open a TAC case for such a request. This is like asking for free music or movies, there is a reason licenses and support is required.

Chris,
Thank you for the response. Do you know how I can format the flash card and install the ios image onto it so that it is reconized by the VG224 gateway.

You can simply delete the existing IOS by issueing "del slot1 XXXX" where XXX is the name of the file.

I am currently in ROMMON mode so I don't have an option to del. I need to be able to format the flashcard and put an IOS image onto it. This is what I see under ROMMON.
rommon 19 > dev
Devices in device table:
id name
flash: internal compact flash
slot0: external compact flash
eprom: eprom
rommon 20 > dir slot0:
device does not contain a valid magic number
dir: cannot open device "slot0:"

Had the same problem. Solution: You need to get a working flash with the IOS image and place it into the slot that has the problem insert at rammon> confreg 0x2142
rammon2> reset
Either format the flash in FAT16 or get a Flash already formatted in Flash16
