VG310 Outband Fax Problem (MGCP)

Hello

We have a problem with outgoing faxes with the new VG310. The VG tries to establish a connection 3 times without any success and times out.

I did a "sh voice call 0/0/7" and got the following output:

vaggvapf7-0201#sh voice call 0/0/7
0/0/7 vtsp level 0 state = S_CONNECTvpm level 1 state = FXSLS_CONNECT
vpm level 0 state = S_UP
calling number , calling name unavailable, calling time 03/03 14:23

Fax Direction is Transmit

Country is Japan
Packet loss conceal is 0
Manufacturer code is8801

What could be the reason for "Rx Invalid Pkts" and why we have "Japan" as Country? We
are in Europe...

Does anybody has some experience with those parameters and or the VG310?

We are using IOS Version: vg3x0-universalk9-mz.SPA.154-3.M5.bin

Any help is more than welcome. Thank you very much.

Kind regards,
Pascal

So are you faxing to a number in Japan? Invalid packets could be a number of reasons but the loss would be concerning if it was there.

The failed fax's could be a number of reasons.

What is the call flow , MGCP and how does that fit in from fax to destination?

What is the configuration?

What happens when it calls? If you call with your phone the destination do you hear fax tones?

Does it fail at first or starts sending and then fails?

Was this ever working before?
