Voice gateway redundancy

Dear All,

we are going to deploy voice gateway redundancy for our office. currently we have 2 CUCM (Pub/Sub) and a 2911 voice gateway that connected to CUCM via SIP trunk. That VGW is connected an E1 link and SIP trunk to overseas PABX for VOIP call. E1 link is connected to VSAT GW for incoming and outgoing phone call for Offshore. We would like to do redundancy for voice gateway and how can we achieve it. How to connect E1 to two gateway. Can we use switch? Your advise would be appreciated.

Remark: we have another voice gateway that connected to PSTN for local call.

Thanks and Regards,

Bo Bo

Hi Bo Bo,

Can you confirm whether we have a sip trunk to PABX separately?

Also, Do you want to use the same voice gateway (which is connected to PSTN for local call) for redundancy?

Also it would be better if you can brief some more about the required deployment?

Regards,

Pankaj Sharma

Hi Pankaj Sharma,

Thanks for you respond. Please find the attached drawing for current our setup and we are planning to purchase new router to make redundant for VGW1. current router is 2911 with voice bundle. Are you able to advise how can we achieve redundancy for VGW1?

Thanks
