On of my user raised a complaint saying the persons on the other end of calls sounds muffled for almost all calls
He uses cisco IP phone model 7960 phone and its call manager version is 11.5
Kindly help on how to troubleshoot on this issues from scratch.

Do you have other phones in the same VLAN, are all the rest of the users OK? Can you try to replace the device and check if the problem persists?
Can you check if the problem appears on all calls that is, both internal (LAN) and external (Telephony Provider)?
(a) Do you have a problem while calling this phone within the same LAN? Is cabling OK?
(a) Do you have MPLS enviroment between office? Have you implemented CoS?
