Voice recording server showing Wrong DID

Hello Everyone,

I have a call manager setup in my network running UCM version 8.6 and we also have third party voice recording server integrated to UCM [which is Verint].

We have 3 PRI lines through our agents call outgoing numbers, whenever they call any local, national international it goes any of PRI lines which depending on the prefix dot used. Now the issue what I am facing when a outgoing call is made my recording server shows a number which is  not my PRI pilot number and it gives some number like 2809+extn number. Now my doubt is  can we expect to get the pilot number if yes what might be the problem that the recording server is showing a wrong DID+extn number from which the call was made. I logged a case with verint and they informed that there is some SCCP signalling issue call manager. Any inputs on this will be helpful

Thnx

Krishna

That is an issue that must be resolved by the software vendor, to correctly record the phone calling number.\

Hi Paolo,

Well I did check on this with them, but they still insisted that the problem is from the Call Manager side, but I couldn't find a practical log or information that the problem is not from our side , but as a temporary solution what they told is to add the 2809 DID with all the extn numbers in the voice recording server for it record properly as it was not happening previously without that 2809 number the calls never used to get recorded properly.

Krishna

I don't think that is correct or that there is any fault in CM.

It seems to me you got the typical reaction of someone unable to fix a problem of their own, so they resort to fingerpointing.

Paolo is right. We had this same issue when we upgraded versions of CUCM, the CAC changed a bit on the Call Manager side of things. Our vender was forced to pay something like 5000 bucks to officially receive the docs from Cisco on what changes were made. Now with all future upgrades they will have this info available to them. Have you recently done any major upgrades to CUCM? If it were a problem on the CUCM side, you would have much bigger problems on your hands globally.
