What is a DSP Port?

Hi,

I am looking at a bug (CSCtj92735) whose work around is to shut down the troubled dsp port?

I understand dsp, but what is a dsp port?  And how do you shut down a dsp port?

The bug is terminated - unreproducible.

You can pretty much ignore any information in it.
