How is everyone out there monitoring their Cisco REP ring statuses?
In my experience, monitoring hundreds of Cisco REP rings over a vast geographic region is a bit tedious. To help with the issue, I created a small Windows application to query a list of nodes, retrieving a list of their REP rings and current statuses.
Check out my blog post on it, download the .EXE (and corresponding .DLL), or download the VB.net code yourself if you want to make any changes. The program also works for Ciena devices using G.8032 rings.
