VPLS benefits

Hi there. talking about VPLs benefit compared with only simple L2 metro-E. how many VFI could be created. does the number exceed the number of vlan/vtp number (4096)? how about vrf mpls. would u please tell me the maximum number supported by cisco?. tq anyway :)

yes it is equal to the number of vlans. The main adv of VPLS is that the MPLS domain looks like a single L2 domain.

Also one of the golden benefit of VPLS over other L2VPN technologies is VPLS will provide Multipoint L2VPN not point-to-point like AToM
