hi,
is it possible to do VP switching for AToM ?
ie:
R1---PVC1/200-----MPLS-----PVC2/200--R2

I believe you are trying to do VP Mode ATOM.
The below link has information on how to configure the same.
But this has platform dependencies I believe. Like in 7600 you will need a SIP/SPA, and in 7200 it works but i believe its single cell relay, just check on these features part as to what is your requirement when you implement VP mode.

PE1:
interface atm0/0
atm pvp 2 l2transport
xconnect 10.0.0.2 123 encapsulation mpls
PE2:
interface atm0/0
atm pvp 1 l2transport
xconnect 10.0.0.1 123 encapsulation mpls

Yes this config should cross connect your VP in port mode.
Which devices you are using in your lab and do you have the access to the lab to test it out.

i do not have access to the lab.
but, i will need to implement it on 12000
so, for VP mode cell relay, i do not need to configure VCI ?

In VP Port Mode you will do a NNI type of interconnect between the Edge ATM Switches, who would to the multiplexing of VC's over this VPI.

I think there are some misunderstanding. let me clarify my setup:
Equip1(pvc1/200)---PE1(Eth)---MPLS---(Eth)PE2---(pvc2/200)Equip2
I have 2 equipments, both need to communicate in ATM.
VPI1 from Equip1 need to switch to VPI2 in Equip2 and vice versa
