Olny new devices have this problem?

Do the have the correct credentials then? If they are discovered they only have a read only community string set

The rest of the credentials must be added

Cheers

Michel

michel,

I re-checked after I posted this question to insure the SNMP RW was correct via another software and it was not...once I corrected it there and then in CW everything worked.

Thanks for your help.

Gilbert,

If you know which are the new devices and if they all have the same credentials then you can update them all in one go by selecteting them all and click edit credentials

if all your devices have the same credentials then you can select them all.

Cheers,

Michel.

If you go in the Device and credentials part of common services you can try to export this device to a csv file

You then see what is configured as a telnet password and you can try yourself, best from the console of the LMS server, to telnet to this device

The only time I recall I had a telnet issue where the password was correct because someone changed the prompt on the device.

Cheers,

Michel
