Hi,
I have a Cisco ASR 9010 Router and when i try pinging domains like facebook.com and google.com I get the following message:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:ios#ping ipv4 facebook.com count 500

Can you give any advice how to fix this issue?
Thanks,

I verified domain lookup is not disabled and have defined my DNS servers which can all be pinged.
Still receiving same error.

Thanks for verifying that domain lookup is not disabled and that you have IP connectivity to the DNS servers. Is it possible that you have an access list examining traffic to or from the Internet that might not allow the DNS request or response?
Perhaps posting the current running config (with sensitive information such as passwords or Public IP obscured might help us find the issue.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like I was missing the mgmt vrf on domain name servers and on the domain lookup source interface command. Now it pings by name successfully.
This was on an 8201 router FYI.
domain vrf mgmt name-server X.X.X.X
domain vrf mgmt lookup source-interface MgmtEth0/RP0/CPU0/0
