Can't connect to web configuration for Firepower 1010

I have a Firepower 1010 set up by following this guide here https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/firepower/quick_start/fp1010/firepower-1010-gsg/ftd-fdm.html#id_82126

I plug my laptop into the management port, and I am able to ping the management interface ip, but actually connecting to the device manager ip on the browser times out.

Any idea why that would be happening?

I got it working.  I had to configure https-access-list with the ip of my laptop.  Thank you all for the help.

Well, I have tried Chrome, Edge, and Firefox

What IP you use for laptop ?

Can I see how you enter the http to access Firepower

MHM

The ip on the laptop was 10.10.10.21, the managment interface is 10.10.10.1.  I tried entering 10.10.10.1, https://10.10.10.1, and https://10.10.10.1:8305, because I saw that was the port of the interface.

You change IP of mgmt so you have access to console

Can I see

Show network

Debug http 255 <- can you debug the http when try to connect via FDM

MHM

It can be as @Giuseppe Larosa mention and you missing this step in start setup

Try use

>configure manager local

 Then check again

Hello @Raplus1942 ,

TCP 8305 should be for communication with an external FMC.

Are you sure you have configured the device for local mode ?

At the beginning of setup you need to specify if the device is managed by an FMC providing the IP address of the FMC or locally that is the option to make FDM to start.

From your document:

Manage the device locally? (yes/no) [yes]: yes

Hope to help

Giuseppe

So I didn't actually set this up myself, but I just figured it was configured for local as we don't have an FMC.  I also ran these commands.

I entered the debug http 255 command, but I am not sure how to use this.
