Catalyst 3850-48T-E Switch Upgrade Path

Hello, I'm want to upgrade a (Catalyst 3850-48T-E) Switch currently running 3.7.5E to  Fuji-16.9.5 MD.

1. Can I upgrade directly to  Fuji-16.9.5 MD ?

2. Are there any constraints ? (ex. ram)

2. Will my configuration change drastically ?

Thank you
Mark R.

You can upgrade direct.
NOTE: The upgrade is from 3.X.X to 16.X.X so this means there will be a microcode upgrade and will take around 17 minutes.

yes you can upgrade directly.

follow strict rules :

1. take config backup out of the box

2. read the release notes understand the caveats and see if this any effect on your environment.

3. do upgrade in a maintenance window.

4. make sure you connect console cable capture all the logs, in case anything goes wrong you can have all logs to understand what is wrong.

5. prepare for rollback plan (copy the images to USB also - safe)
