Cisco 3925-3945 with SPE250/K9-SPE100/K9

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I'm looking for some good Cisco guidance documentation for intrusion detection systems. I was searching Cisco website, and I couldn't find something specific for 3925/3945 with securityk9 license.

Is IDS (intrusion detection systems) part of the IPS (intrusion prevention systems) ?

Any help will be really appreciated.
