Reinstall or move Prime VM

We have a Cisco Prime 3.10 VM running in a VMware ESXi, 7.0.3 and NFS3 environment. We have to move it to a new environment with VMware ESXi, 7.0.3 and VMFS6.

What is the best way to do this and why? To move the VM or reinstall Prime in the new environment?

I suggest to build new VM on new Environment as fresh copy and take old PI  backup and restore on New PI and check all working.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/prime/infrastructure/3-10/admin/cisco_prime_infrastructure_3_10_admin_guide/backup_restore.html

If the IP is changed you may re-sync with devices - if you looking to use same IP then shutdown old PI and check on new PI all working as expected - before delete old VM of PI.

Note : always keep backup copy outside - until all working on new one do not delete that backup.

When you move - some time you may not get all assurance data to new Prime.
