Replacing RV325 with Meraki MX100?

Hello,

We are currently using an RV325 for our Internet-facing router. There are a few port-forwarding rules and firewall rules on it. We also have a single DMZ IP configured on one of the RV325's ports.

We also have a Meraki MX100 for our VPN needs. This Meraki is also Internet-facing without going through our RV325.

The RV325 is either EOL or soon to be, and we are looking to replace it.

Can we use the Meraki as our new router? I know it's not its main feature, but I thought perhaps we could use the firewall options on the Meraki to replace our RV325....

Meraki mostly managed in the Cloud, so if you lost Internet, the device can not be managed (that is drawback we need to keep in mind)

This is mostly used with Merak AP as a concentrator for the AP. you can use it as traditional FW and other stuff.. (it can not replace 100% RV features or any other cisco WAN Router FW features).

we do use MX 100 and higher version for the SMB AP concentrator.

Since you have setup, you can explore the feature by testing, before you 100% replace RV

So basically I shouldn't replace the RV with the Meraki, but with another RV.

The cloud access of the Meraki is enough of a drawback.

Which router would be a suitable replacement for the RV325 ?

Same fearures like RV - the new RV340 is new model for replacement.
